Victoria
Victoria
Practice Manager, Veterinary Technician
Growing up, Victoria’s family never kept less than five pets in the house—animal care is simply in her nature. She’s also had a lifelong passion for educating others. What better way to spend time around the creatures she loves and help pet owners at the same time, Victoria thought, than by entering the world of veterinary medicine?

Victoria is originally from West Bloomfield, Michigan and used to work in the culinary arts field. After deciding to make a change in 2015, she started working at a horse farm in Holly, Michigan before starting classes to study veterinary technology. Near the end of her schooling, Victoria interned at a local animal hospital and was hired on as an employee shortly afterward. She’s been a veterinary professional ever since!

Victoria joined the Orion Animal Care Center family when the practice opened and loves to find new ways to lead her veterinary team to success. She’s extremely passionate about encouraging continued education, and she has a special passion for working with rescue pets. Victoria never passes up a chance to jump in and help hands-on, since she’s a fully-trained Veterinary Technician in addition to her role as Practice Manager.

Away from work, Victoria is an avid equestrian and rides horses at least once a week. She’s also fond of cooking and looks for any excuse to prepare extravagant dishes. At home, Victoria and her husband share their lives with three cats: Dexter, Hope, and Serenity.
Nikki
Nikki
Lead Veterinary Technician
Nikki grew up with all sorts of critters, from cats and dogs to turtles and birds. She’s had a passion for pet care ever since her earliest memories! Nikki also loved science and medicine from an early age. She decided to combine the best of both worlds and become a veterinary professional—now, she’s proud to serve as Orion Animal Care Center’s Lead Veterinary Technician!

Nikki is from Rochester Hills and began her animal-care journey by working as a receptionist and assistant at a small-town pet hospital. Next, she took a job at another nearby clinic, where she first met Dr. Guild. Always dedicated to continuing education and the ever-changing field of veterinary medicine, Nikki advanced her skillset and knowledge by taking veterinary technology courses to learn even more. Now, she’s thrilled to continue her journey as the head of Orion Animal Care Center’s Veterinary Technician team.

Medically, Nikki is fond of surgical work, and she also has a special passion for the area’s pocket pets. Her favorite part of every shift, though, is getting to meet new pet owners and their adorable animal companions. Knowing that she’s making a real difference is the ultimate reward for Nikki!

Most of Nikki’s free time away from work is spent with her teenaged daughter. She also loves to catch up on her favorite television shows or movies. Nikki has two pets: Bella, a Dachshund who will not sleep unless she’s burrowed under blankets, and a loveable cat who goes by Jackson.
Crystal
Crystal
Veterinary Technician
Crystal has been interested in the behavior and healthcare of animals ever since she can remember. She always suspected that a career spent helping pets live happier, healthier lives would suit her well. Crystal knew that veterinary medicine was the field for her! Now, she cares for the pets and animal owners of the area as a member of Orion Animal Care Center’s Veterinary Technician team.

Crystal is a Michigan native and first launched her animal-care journey in 2005, when she started working as a Kennel Assistant. She’s been a pet-care professional ever since. Crystal joined the Orion Animal Care Center family in August of 2019 as a Veterinary Technician, and has special passions for anesthesia work and surgical procedures. Most of all, she loves to interact one-on-one with the pets and animal owners of the area and impart everything she’s learned over the years to help companions feel better.

When she’s not at work, Crystal likes gardening, camping—she recently performed a complete renovation on a camper!—and spending quality time with her family. She has two sons, and the family shares their home with a dog named Dakota.
Sydney
Sydney
Veterinary Assistant
Sydney grew up in Oxford, Michigan but often spent time in the summers visiting her uncle, who works as a veterinarian in New Jersey. Hearing his stories of saving pets’ lives made a lasting impression on Sydney—she knew that she would love to help animals in a hands-on way herself! She gets to put her passion for pets to good use every day as a member of Orion Animal Care Center’s Veterinary Assistant team.

Sydney began her veterinary journey by signing on to work at a dog kennel. Next, she secured a job as a Veterinary Assistant at another practice in the area, where she learned the ropes of the profession. In August of 2019, Sydney accepted a position here at Orion Animal Care Center, and she hasn’t looked back since. She’s particularly fond of critical-care work and she also has a soft spot for the clinic’s equine patients, having adored horses ever since she was young.

Most of Sydney’s time away from work is also spent with animals. She loves to go horseback riding whenever she can, and she also likes competing in agility, Frisbee, lure coursing, and dock diving with her beloved Australian Shepherd, Saber. Sydney and her family also share their lives with two other dogs: Blu, a rambunctious and loving Pit Bull, and a sassy Newfoundland named Nova.
