Victoria
Victoria
Practice Manager, Veterinary Technician
Growing up, Victoria’s family never kept less than five pets in the house—animal care is simply in her nature. She’s also had a lifelong passion for educating others. What better way to spend time around the creatures she loves and help pet owners at the same time, Victoria thought, than by entering the world of veterinary medicine?

Victoria is originally from West Bloomfield, Michigan and used to work in the culinary arts field. After deciding to make a change in 2015, she started working at a horse farm in Holly, Michigan before starting classes to study veterinary technology. Near the end of her schooling, Victoria interned at a local animal hospital and was hired on as an employee shortly afterward. She’s been a veterinary professional ever since!

Victoria joined the Orion Animal Care Center family when the practice opened and loves to find new ways to lead her veterinary team to success. She’s extremely passionate about encouraging continued education, and she has a special passion for working with rescue pets. Victoria never passes up a chance to jump in and help hands-on, since she’s a fully-trained Veterinary Technician in addition to her role as Practice Manager.

Away from work, Victoria is an avid equestrian and rides horses at least once a week. She’s also fond of cooking and looks for any excuse to prepare extravagant dishes. At home, Victoria and her husband share their lives with three cats: Dexter, Hope, and Serenity.
Dr. Timothy Guild
Dr. Timothy Guild
Owner, Veterinarian
Dr. Timothy Guild was a young boy when he made up his mind that he would help pets as a veterinarian someday. His passion simply never wavered! Dr. Guild doesn’t take for granted the opportunity to help not only pets, but their loving owners as well. He’s the proud owner and operator of Orion Animal Care Center.

A native of northern Michigan, Dr. Guild learned the ropes of the profession in his uncle’s veterinary clinic during his high school and early college years. He earned his undergraduate degree in science from Michigan State University, then obtained his veterinary degree at Ross University’s School of Veterinary Medicine on the Caribbean island of St. Kitts. After completing his clinical work at a large animal hospital in Chicago to learn advanced procedures along board-certified veterinarians, Dr. Guild graduated and returned to Michigan to launch his career as a licensed veterinarian.

As a vet, Dr. Guild particularly likes surgical procedures, but the most rewarding part of his job is developing lasting relationships with the area’s pet owners. Helping to ensure a pet’s good health for a lifetime is extremely rewarding!

When he’s not at work, Dr. Guild can be found golfing—he recently played in Scotland on the first 18-hole golf course ever created!—or spending time with his family and pets. He and his wife, Betsy, have two kids named Ellie and Henry, and the family has one pet: Woody, an Irish Setter whose antics can always brighten up even the gloomiest day.
Dr. Genevieve Brown
Dr. Genevieve Brown
Associate Veterinarian
Seeing her childhood cat struggle through health issues, and noticing the way her family’s veterinarian provided comfort through the most difficult of times, made a lasting impression on Dr. Genevieve Brown. She knew that she wanted to do the exact same thing for other pet owners. Dr. Brown decided to dedicate her life to the animal-care profession! Now, she’s proud to help pets and their owners daily as an Associate Veterinarian.

Originally from Lapeer, Dr. Brown earned her undergraduate degree in biology at Grand Valley State University before heading off to veterinary school at Michigan State University. After graduating, she worked in West Bloomfield before relocating to Lake Orion to be closer to family. Dr. Brown joined the Orion Animal Care Center family when the clinic opened in August of 2019, and she’s been helping the area’s pets and animal parents ever since!

Medically, Dr. Brown loves soft-tissue surgery because of the way it allows her to make an immediate difference in a pet’s health, and she’s also fond of abdominal ultrasound. When she can make a lasting impact on both pet and owner, she feels that she’s done her best work.

At home, Dr. Brown likes spending time with her husband, Derrick, and their two young daughters. As a family, they love to spend time outdoors, go for walks, and sing songs from their favorite Disney movies. Dr. Brown also loves to make—and eat!—homemade pasta like fettuccini and ravioli. The family shares their lives with two cats, Shandy and Penelope, as well as a Terrier mix named Dakota whose favorite pastime is protecting the backyard from squirrels.
Dr. Kirsten Moore
Dr. Kirsten Moore
Associate Veterinarian
As a young girl, Dr. Kirsten Moore joined the 4-H club to train her childhood English Setter in obedience. It was through her 4-H friends that she first became interested in veterinary medicine—that passion just never wavered. Dr. Moore knew that a career spent caring for animals professionally would suit her perfectly! Now, she’s enjoyed a long and fulfilling career in veterinary medicine and is proud to continue her journey as a part-time veterinarian here at Orion Animal Care Center.

Dr. Moore grew up on an island off the coast of southeastern Michigan, and attended Michigan State University for her post-high school education. She was accepted into the University’s College of Veterinary Medicine after only two years! By the time she graduated, Dr. Moore was married and began her career in the Ann Arbor area, where her husband worked. She’s been helping pets and animal parents ever since!

Dr. Moore joined the Orion Animal Care Center team after connecting with a former coworker about an available position, and she couldn’t be happier to lend her services to the clinic on a part-time basis. Medically, she’s fond of internal medicine cases and surgical work. Dr. Moore also likes behavioral medicine and the way it can improve the quality of life for both pets and owners.

Outside of work, Dr. Moore enjoys cooking, listening to music, reading, catching up on her favorite television programs, sewing, and spending quality time with her family and pets. She and her husband live in Oakland County with their daughter, her husband, and their young grandson and granddaughter. Dr. Moore also has a son who lives in Georgia with his wife and their three cats. Around the house, Dr. Moore and her family have several pets: Jasper the English Setter; a food-obsessed Golden Retriever named Luna; two tortoiseshell cats who are mother and daughter; and a pair of longhaired cats.

She has fond memories of helping to feed calves on her grandfather’s farm, and later volunteering at a sea turtle hospital to help rehabilitate and save the majestic creatures. For her, working hands-on to better the lives of the earth’s creatures is simply what she loves to do! Alyssa couldn’t be happier to continue her veterinary journey here at Orion Animal Care Center, and she even hopes to attend veterinary school in the future.

Sydney
Sydney
Veterinary Assistant
Sydney grew up in Oxford, Michigan but often spent time in the summers visiting her uncle, who works as a veterinarian in New Jersey. Hearing his stories of saving pets’ lives made a lasting impression on Sydney—she knew that she would love to help animals in a hands-on way herself! She gets to put her passion for pets to good use every day as a member of Orion Animal Care Center’s Veterinary Assistant team.

Sydney began her veterinary journey by signing on to work at a dog kennel. Next, she secured a job as a Veterinary Assistant at another practice in the area, where she learned the ropes of the profession. In August of 2019, Sydney accepted a position here at Orion Animal Care Center, and she hasn’t looked back since. She’s particularly fond of critical-care work and she also has a soft spot for the clinic’s equine patients, having adored horses ever since she was young.

Most of Sydney’s time away from work is also spent with animals. She loves to go horseback riding whenever she can, and she also likes competing in agility, Frisbee, lure coursing, and dock diving with her beloved Australian Shepherd, Saber. Sydney and her family also share their lives with two other dogs: Blu, a rambunctious and loving Pit Bull, and a sassy Newfoundland named Nova.
Lori
Lori
Receptionist
Lori’s aunt used to work at a veterinary clinic, and she would take Lori along to the office with her on occasion. Those experiences made a permanent impression. Lori knew almost instantly that she wanted to work hands-on with pets herself! Now, her dream is a reality—Lori is a receptionist here at Orion Animal Care Center and looks forward to continuing her journey in animal medicine as time goes on.

Originally from Fenton, Lori joined the Orion Animal Care Center family in early June of 2020 and couldn’t be happier to launch her journey in animal care right here at the clinic. She recently enrolled in a veterinary technology program, and plans on becoming a Veterinary Technician in the near future to help pets in an even more hands-on way. Lori especially likes interacting with pet owners and their companions at the front desk, and she loves the fact that no two days are ever quite the same here at the hospital—her work definitely keeps her on her toes!

When she’s not at the office, Lori likes exercising, enjoying the great outdoors, and spending time with her family. She has a wonderful son, and she and her fiancé have several pets at home: three dogs and a pair of cats, all of whom have their own unique personalities.
